Caribbean Psychology:Unmasking the Past, Claiming Our Future
11-14 November, 2014
Torarica Hotels, Paramaribo, Suriname

The Caribbean Regional Conference of Psychology - CRCP2014 - is held under the auspices of CANPA, the Caribbean Alliance of National Psychological Associations, and hosted by the Suriname Association of Psychologists and Special Educators. Local arrangements are handled by OrgaNice in Suriname.

Abstract Submission Deadline: April 28th, 2014

The conference theme, "Caribbean Psychology: Unmasking the past and claiming our future," reflects an acknowledgement of psychology as a product of research and scholarship, and as a product of time and place. The Caribbean is a region where collective and individual identities reflect our history, geography, climate, natural resources, and our particular circumstances on the global sphere. Psychological science is in a unique position to apply scholarly expertise to address social and behavioural issues, and to promote just and ethical policies, education, and solutions that are based on sound science, and grounded in our culture as diverse Caribbean peoples.
