CANPA Standing Committee: Disaster Mental Health
The CANPA Standing Committee on Disaster Mental Health consists of representatives from each CANPA Member organization.
Its goals are to foster
- Partnerships, Collaboration & Coordination of disaster mental health and psychosocial support in the Caribbean region
- Culturally congruent models of disaster response
- Disaster readiness & Risk Reduction
- Engagement of CANPA Members in disaster response needs assessment, capacity building & Risk Reduction
- Regional credentialing systems for disaster/emergency mental health services
